Meet The Team

A licensed Escrow Officer and closer at Cowboy Country Title, Michelle is highly respected among area realtors and title search experts. With three decades of experience in Texas title insurance and closing, she has earned a reputation of accuracy, service and speed in her work.

Michelle started in the title insurance industry in the Austin area in 1996 and has extensive knowledge and experience in title insurance and the closing process. She has been closing all types of real estate transactions for 30 years. Her goal is to communicate with and educate parties throughout the transaction to make closing a smooth and enjoyable process.

Michelle is a Florida native but has been in Texas since 1985 when her family moved to Stephenville, where she attended Tarleton State University. After living in Dallas, Austin and Wimberley, she made her way back to the Stephenville area and has been living in Comanche since 2010. She has two adult daughters and a grandson and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible.

Phillip, like his father and grandfather before him, prioritizes service to others in all facets of his life — professional and personal. This third-generation abstractor is a Stephenville native and manages the Cowboy Country Title office.

Phillip's passion for local history allows him to trace the chain of titles and search to fill the gaps like no other. As one of the original employees of the company, Phillip is extremely knowledgeable in plotting, deed chain, surveys and taking titles back to sovereignty.

When Phillip is not in the office, you will find him with his wife and daughter, hanging out with his German Shepherds down by a Texas creek or off-roading in Arkansas.

As one of the Escrow Officers at Cowboy Country Title, Lauren obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

After moving to Stephenville in 2018, Lauren and her family fell in love with the community. She, along with her daughter Caroline and her husband Kirt Brown, spend their quality time at home with a slew of dogs, cats, rabbits and cows.
